                                         The river torrige

Class 5 went to the River Torridge at Ash Hill. On the 14th September, to do some experiments. We went in two groups, year 5’s and year 6’s.
The year 5’s went to the river, to do art with the art teacher Mr Sentence. While the year 6’s did some science and geography with Mr Stephenson.

When the year 6’s went with Mr Stephenson, we put oranges in the river at 10metres apart and timed it.

Every time we went to a different part of the river we had to measure the depth of it as well as timing the orange.

We had to write the results and compare them.

We learnt a lot like at different parts of the river either deeper or shallower. And that where there is an overhang it is very deep.

Bradworthys Schools Fantastic   Netball Club!

Bradworthy School Netball Club is run by Miss Daniels on the schools playground, on a Thursday after school.

On Thursdays after school Miss Daniels teaches netball, to pupils in classes 3,4 and 5. Straight after school pupils get changed and go out on to the playground, ready to start. Sometimes they play matches against each other. This practice is to prepare the pupils for future matches.

Pupils say it’s very fun and you get the opportunity to be on the team if you work hard.
