This is my school work

This week we have been learning about the English Civil War. A battle took place in Torrington so we went to Torrington.

Class5 Go To War

On the 9th of November class 5 went to Torrington 1646 to learn more about the

battle of Torrington.

there was a big battle beteen parliamentarians and caviliers. There were

4000 soilders on foot and 4000 soilders on horses in the king's army and 10000 in parliament's.

We learnt more about this as the day went on.

They spilt us up in two groups. One group went to learn about musket bullets and

the other group went to see the armour.

When we saw the man make musket bullets he melted the lead into the moder and you got a musket bullet.

Then we went to a room where Mrs Lovett had lots of different flowers on the table

that they used to make medicene with.

She told us how they were used to make medicene.

After this we went to see the armour and I got picked to get dressed up

as a 1646 lady.

I had a night dress with a brown skirt and a green jacket. Everybody laughed.

Next we walked though a replica town of Torrington.

A lot of care had been taken to make the town look and sound as realistic as possible .
